John Deere trusts in Hellmann Spare Parts Logistics Solutions

The US agricultural machinery manufacturer John Deere has extended its cooperation with Hellmann in Karlsdorf, Germany, and the Dutch town of 's-Heerenberg for another three years. The decisive factor for this was the consistently high quality of the spare parts supply, which was recently honored with the John Deere Partner Award for both our inner-German groupage as well as for the CEP services in Belgium and the Netherlands.

The cooperation with John Deere in Karlsdorf has its origins in 2016. With the launch at that time of the products parcel service, groupage national and some Direct Load transports, we provided the customer with a comprehensive range of services and transport solutions.

A special challenge was the goods structure, ranging from letter and parcel shipments to heavy equipment, such as 9-meter-long tractor crawlers, which are brought onto the road in a separate wooden transport box. But as a team, Karlsdorf overcame this initial challenge: "Our performance at the Karlsdorf-Neuthard site is outstanding. The team is strong in handling and highly motivated. Our employees give their all every day to continuously deliver top performance in the interest of the customer," says branch manager Michaela Sinn.

The flow of goods from the John Deere central warehouse in Bruchsal is consolidated in Karlsdorf as a strategic single point of distribution and guaranteed to be delivered on time. "In order to be able to guarantee maximum quality, we guarantee our customer nationwide deliveries the following day by 2 p.m. at the latest combined with a delivery rate of 98 percent," reports Daniele Borrescio, Key Account Manager at Hellmann.

Award & contract renewal also in the CEP sector

The contract with the Dutch colleagues in the CEP sector was also extended by three years. As the exclusive CEP service provider for Belgium and the Netherlands, Patrick Löwenthal's team in 's-Heerenberg handles the supply of spare parts for the dealer network there - either overnight or the next day, depending on the size and weight of the approximately 150 daily shipments.

"Hellmann does an excellent job in all five categories, both in groupage Germany and in CEP, and therefore deserves the John Deere Partner Award. We are glad to have Hellmann as a high-performance partner with whom we can successfully continue our cooperation," says Sebastian Teichert, Manager Service Parts Logistics at John Deere.

For the agricultural machinery manufacturer, reliability and quality are decisive factors when choosing a service provider. Sebastian Teichert, Manager Service Parts Logistics at John Deere, emphasizes this: "We judge our logistics partners according to five criteria: the quality of the IT connection, the customer service and the invoices, the delivery quality and, last but not least, proactive measures to reduce costs. Hellmann does an excellent job in all five categories, both in groupage Germany and in CEP, and therefore deserves the John Deere Partner Award. We are glad to have Hellmann as a high-performance partner with whom we can successfully continue our cooperation."
